Terms of Service
Last updated 27 August 2026
These terms cover your use of the Acuide app and this website. Creating an account means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use Acuide.
Who can use Acuide
You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. You must be able to form a binding contract, and not barred from doing so under applicable law.
Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us at support@acuide.com if you think someone else has reached your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account is for one person; do not share it.
Your content stays yours
Notes, documents, uploads, and anything else you put into Acuide remain yours. You grant us a licence to host, store, copy, transmit, and process that content, and to send the relevant parts to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy, strictly so we can run the features you asked for. The licence exists to operate the service and ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your content to train our own models, and we do not sell it.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not put material into Acuide that you are not permitted to copy.
AI output is not authoritative
Acuide generates lessons, explanations, quizzes, and answers using AI models. This output can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, including where it sounds confident. It is a study aid, not a source of truth, and it is not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
Check anything that matters against your own course material before you rely on it — in an exam, an assignment, or anywhere the answer has consequences. You are responsible for how you use what Acuide produces, including compliance with your school or institution’s rules on acceptable use of AI tools.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Break the law, or use Acuide to help someone else break it.
- Upload material you do not have the rights to, or content that is unlawful, abusive, or harmful.
- Attempt to extract prompts or model weights, circumvent usage limits, or resell generation capacity.
- Probe, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or its security.
- Use Acuide to build a competing product from our output.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things, and where the breach is serious we may do so without notice.
Subscriptions and payment
Some features require a paid subscription. Purchases made in the iOS app are processed by Apple under its own terms, and are billed to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policy — we cannot issue them directly. Prices may change, and we will tell you before a change affects a renewal.
Paid plans may carry usage limits on AI generation. Where they do, we will make the limit visible in the app.
Availability
We work to keep Acuide running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your content.
Ending it
You can stop using Acuide and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these terms, or if we are required to by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content licence wind-down, disclaimers, limitation of liability — do survive it.
Disclaimers
Acuide is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that AI output will be accurate or complete. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer you keep your statutory rights.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or academic outcomes arising from your use of Acuide. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will move the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Acuide after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Acuide is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
